Dave Campbell, what I meant to say is the older non-suede Do-Win shoe and the current VS shoe are the same, the VS shoe is just rebranded and cheaper than what Glenn Pendlay sells them for. That's why I would order from VS.

John,

Those are pretty. My lifts would suffer, because I'd always be looking at my feet!

Best,

Jon

Ummm...not for Oly, Richard. Wearing Chucks on the platform is like taking a canoe to a kayak race.

Best,

Jon

.....making Chuck Taylor shoes the workout shoe of choice for Red Green. If the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy in the O-lifts.

I have the VS athletics ones.

Good for front and overhead squats and standing presses.
Heel is too high for back squats in either close or wide stance so I hardly use them now.

Very comfortable though. didn't notice any difference in the heel heights between them.
One shoelace broke.
And International ordering is painfull as you need to fax a copy of credit card and ID.

I have the Werksans and I love them. The only problem I had was that the sole started to peel off. I got them reglued and they are fine now.

I have seen the Do Wins and the VS and think they are great. I just ordered the Do Wins for my girlfriend and a client of mine. I would have ordered the VS but they are out of the sizes I need. Also my GF wanted the red suede. :-)

The Werksans have a relatively small heel which I prefer since I'm fairly flexible and can squat deep even when barefoot. I think the high heel shoes would throw me off initially.

I would go ahead and get some shoes and spend more time lifting. :-)

I wear my Graco sandals or some old flat bottomed Merrills. Of course I am not lifting competitively. The key for me is a flat, stiff sole.
