Ted,

Buy ASAP. You can always resale for alot more than that. You wont find that deal on a Mod D very often.

Didn't want to start a new topic on this as I see them often but...

C2 model D? (she think D, its from around 1990) with a PM1 for $600 Canadian. I think that's about half the cost of a new one. Worth it? These don't show up too often around here.

Its probably a C or a B with an upgraded monitor, if that is even possible.

In 1993 they stopped selling B and went to C.

So yea or neigh? And how upgradeable are the monitors? Could you put a PM3 or 4 on a model B or C? Or are there limits...

If you have a photo of the thing, look at the concept 2 site, it's easy to identify the rowers. The site sells PM3-4 retrofit kits for all models, so I assume they work. The only thing that doesn't work is the recharge function on the PM4, that requires an E.

All this is from the concept 2 website. I looked it up since I bought a model C with a PM1 (this monitor is just fine for a solo rower!)

553.261 US$ is what many pay for a C
If your patient, you can find a C for less.

I personally would not upgrade a monitor. The PM3 and PM4 will suck batteries on anything less than a D.

I cannot speak to the market in Canada, it might be a great deal...if its a C.
