A simple question that I'm unclear on. I just read Starting Strength, started the program and I was looking at Rippetoe's chart for Barbell Strength Standards.
Are the weights listed 1 rep maximums?
I was wondering because in SS's program of 5-rep sets I figured I'd being working my way up to the intermediate goal of a 5 rep 250lbs squat for example (I weigh 170). If that chart is refering to 1 rep max's though, I suppose that's not realistic!
Clarification would be appreciated!
