How to run a running group

Hey everyone. I joined a site called seeMommyrun.com to join a local running group. I never received any messages back from group leaders so I said, "What the hell...I'll start one myself." So, this past weekend I started one and have already had inquiries. We have yet to meet as I'm getting over some icky pnuemonia.

Basically, everyone's skills vary. I was thinking of doing a basic 5k conditioning regimine or a pyramid...run 1min, walk 1min, run 2min, walk 2min...etc.

Does anyone have any pointers on running a running group?
