Deadlift PR

Well, I just got back from CrossFit by Overload in Murrieta. I stopped by and ended up doing a max day on deadlift. I've never maxed before, and went big. I hit 405. Easy. 455. Easy. 475. back rounded a bit, but I nailed it! I'm quite happy. I tried it again, but my form fell apart. I tired out pretty quickly and didn't want to get hurt. I'm still quite excited, though! I was just aiming to get 405. Works for me, though!

Re: Deadlift PR

Dude!
475# is sick - especially if all you "wanted" was 405!

Congrats on a HUGE pull.

Re: Deadlift PR

Thanks for all the replies! The Iron Eagles are doing well, we still get like 30 kids every single workout! I don't know what's wrong with them. Ha ha. They did 10 Pushups, 15 Situps, 20 Squats for max rounds in 20 minutes today. Most did at least 10 rounds. They just kept going and going! I love it. Anyways, I'm 265 or so, so it's not quite 2x bodyweight. I guess that takes away a little bit from the weight, but oh well. I hope to get over 500 next go around. Hopefully I can get a CrossFit total here soon too. Last check was shoulder press x3 at 185. Just gotta find time to do some weighted squats.

Re: Deadlift PR

Congrats, Michael!

That's some huge weight even for a big fella!

I just hit 405 a little while ago and was pumped...

I think it will be a while before I get to your level though...

Huge pull, excellent job buddy

-David

oh wow, haha, my bad. was it you who posted that you had lost a bunch of weight? i figured you were down FROM 265 . still, that doesn't take away from the fact that you made a huge pull!

Re: Deadlift PR

No, i'm still at about 265 or so, just hovering there. I don't know how log I will get, I'm thinking not much. I'm pretty trim right now, and happy.

P.S. I was 310, so I have lost a bunch of weight...
