Anthony, do you host Wordpress at your own hosting provider or do you let the WordPress folks host it?

I've heard good things about Wordpress but get conflicting advice on hosting options. I just started using Blogger and I am wondering if I should move to a better platform sooner than later.

Bill, we bought hosting/domain through Netfirms and then installed Wordpress on that hosting plan. I'm sure there are "pay" blogs with more features, but Wordpress suits our current needs quite well.

I offer web hosting and I got a couple of sites using WordPress. I've had no trouble with them and my clients have had no issues with it either. It's easy to set up, use and designing for it is not that complicated as other packages I've used.

I'm a software developer (in a previous life) so I'm lucky to have a little savvy in the area of websites...anyway I use Blogger and love it. You can modify it's look and feel with a little bit of fiddling and some patience. Take a look at my site and you'll see how Blogger is incorporated into the rest of the site (click on workouts or blog to see the relevant pages). My point? If you use a blog tool make sure that you can blend it with your future site design. Good luck.
