Where to store my Eleiko

Hey everyone,

I just recently got an Eleiko bar and have read on some other forums that people keep their bar in the house, hah. I don't think my wife would like that too much. Don't blame her. Is it ok to keep in the garage? My Rogue bar rusted real bad in a matter of two weeks

That is my biggest fear with the Eleiko. I thought some of you should know that my bar came with a brush. I read on here that some people didn't receive a brush with their bar. Maybe it was a mishap on the seller.

Was your Rogue bar bare steel? The Eleiko is chrome so I dont see that giving you any rust problems. I live in Louisiana and have a cheap Again Faster bar in the garage for 2 years no and have no rust problems even with our humidity down here. I feel confident that an Eleiko would hold up as well.

Thank you Thomas. I have the Rogue Operator bar so with the zinc coating.

I'll give it a go and just keep a close eye on it.

I think you'll be fine. I have a ZKC hard chrome bar, lived in the DFW area for 9 years with it and had NO issues with rust. So long as you keep the chalk build-up down, you'll have no problems.

Maybe don't store the bar on the ground?

I leave mine in the garage. I live in a dry environment but I wouldn't stress if I didn't. I bring it inside in the winter since a cold barbell is lame and it doesn't spin very well when it is freezing.

You will get used to the bar and realize it is a durable chunk of steel.
