My Labral Tear

Hey guys,

I am new to the message board for crossfit, but not new to crossfit at all. I wanted to share my experience that happened in October of 2011. During this time frame i completely tore my labrum and had cartilage damage throughout my right shoulder. In February of this year I was finally able to get the surgery done to repair it. Doctors say I'm on a speedy recovery and should be up to full strength in June. My concerns are this here guys, I am 18 years old and have been doing various crossfit exercises since I was 16, but now that i have this injury I can no longer workout. Is there any exercises or routines that I can start doing that may help me so that when I come back in June I don't have to completely start over?

Talk to your PT about when to incorporate gym strengthening or overhead work back into your routine.

Since we don't know what particular state of recovery you are in we shouldn't be recommending anything here
