Pain from old stress fracture

In college I ran marathons, and eventually got a stress fracture on my 3rd metatarsal. Since then, it aches occasionally after long runs but hasn't given me much trouble. I've been crossfitting for about 4 months and recently upped my weekend "long" run by a few miles in anticipation of race season- now, the fracture hurts a lot again. I know the general treatment of ice, wooden-soled shoes and cutting down on the running, but is there anything else I can do? How much should I cut back on the running?

Yeah, it's probably not a good idea to run on it if it hurts (as you can refracture..). Pain = your body telling you something is hurting or about to given way.

Pretty much you just gotta rest. Ice and massage help.

What running technique do you use?

Whatever the WODs offer and a bit of interval running beforehand. If the WOD is mostly weights, I run more- just scaled to balance out the WOD. I've been adding some longer runs on the weekend, mostly 3, 4, 5 miles.
