I just started CR and dayshift for my police department. When I was on mid's I would have the time to do the "WOD" and some strength training. Now on days I wake at 0430, gym by 0500 and home by six to get ready for work! Should I just stick with CF or break it up to start Coach Rippetoe's workout? Any advise would be great.

Scott,
many train crossfit doing shifts. When I have morning, starts at 06:00 leave home at 05:25, finish at 14:00, home at 14:30. start training wod at ca 15:30/16:00, sometimes do extra work before or after wod, usualy one of my many weaker points.
I agree when you say it is easier to train when doing evening shift. More time in the morning. During my nightshift, 22:00-06:00, I wake up at ca 12:00/1`3:00, do the wod, beakfast and relax. Take an extra nap from 18:00-20:45. It gets me through my week long night shift. I do little extra work then.
I do most of my extra training during my day's off. I'm in for the long run, my health and am planning to keep on training untill far into olg age. Do not burn up trying to go to fast. It is tempting, I know, been there myself, but use your brain first.
Take care, have fun, Johan

Are you asking if you should do the WoD or the Starting Strength programming? I would say that depends on your goals.
