I've been in the Zone, but I'm tired of the same old combinations. I got "150 Zone Meals" but the recipes are pretty darn involved. What resources, online or in book form, do you use to find zoned recipes? I'm pretty good at looking stuff up and have found woefully few.

I make them up and then write them down. =D
Always easy: Salads. Instead of a veggie throw in a fruit or two. Amazing what that can do to your salad. Due to them being in season here in NorCal sliced peaches in a salad are so good. Meat: Spice. The way to change meat is to spice it differently or marinade. Otherwise it will be bland and icky. For southern flavor try lots of cumin and throw in lime juice. I love these two things for summer! w/f safe: http://www.foodnetwork.com/ You can do what I do and change their recipes around into Zone recipes. Just add/delete certain ingredients and you have the world at your fingertips. w/f safe: http://whfoods.org/recipestoc.php#recipes Take these and make them Zone proportions. Hope this helps! |

Ive been eating a lot of ground turkey breast lately and its a little bland and dry. Ive been adding leaves of basil in the center with some crushed red peppers and then cook. the basil tastes great....also ive heard this mentioned before-getting some el pato enchilada sauce and just pour it on top of your meal for more flavor and a little kick.
