Pure Pharma PR3?

Looks like Pure Pharma just came out with a protein. It has 24 grams of protein extracted from sprouted brown rice. Just wondering the difference between organic rice protein and whey protein? Thoughts on he product?

Re: Pure Pharma PR3?

The only reason I could see to use a protein supplement from sprouted brown rice is because you have issues with dairy and even whey isolate gives digestive you issues. Otherwise you are paying basically $70 for 25 servings. Compare that to ON Gold Standard which you can get on Amazon for $58 for 74 servings or if you want to step up to pure isolate, you can get Isopure for $44 for 47 servings.

Milk based proteins are more effective than plant based. If you have to pay the same or more for an inferior protein source that seems a bit silly unless you are vegan or the like.

It doesn't matter which you use in the context of a mixed diet where any minor differences in the amino acid profiles of the two products will be compensated for by other foods.

Amino acids, but not protein fractions specific to milk proteins which would not exist in the rice protein...

You can look up the amino acid profiles of brown rice, I used to see a lot of rice and pea protein blends as they compliment one another.

Again, something for vegetarians. Brown rice has a much better AA profile than other vegetarian protein sources and it either close to or better than soy.

Hey Darryl, I had not logged in in years but just did, today, in order to send you a PM, but you're not accepting them. Is there a way I could write to you privately?
