Re: bulletproof coffee

It does not affect autophagy pathways, which is "the main deal" with fasting.
I dont fast to loose BF, I fast for health benefits and its practicality.

Re: bulletproof coffee

Does anyone use Keurig K-cups for their coffee? I've been using a Starbucks K-cup then mix my coco oil and butter. Is this a wrong approach? If not what is a good brand K-cup to use?

Has anyone tried those special beans and oil? Does it have an even better effect on energy or is it just moneymaking?
The coffee is pretty damn good from them. I've tried the MCT oil as well and it really helped me lean out for my last competition. I literally drank Bulletproof coffee and the MCT oil everyday before training instead of just coffee and ended up getting down to a nice lean 62kg before my meet without even trying to cut weight. This was over about 2 months time down from 67kg. I have a discount code for them you can use at upgradedself.com (FWS) 104TEAMUSA. Not sure if it still works or not, I haven't used it in a while but it's a 10% OFF code.

Re: bulletproof coffee

This may be old, but I have just started adding 100% grass fed butter into my morning coffee. I have NEVER had the energy from normal coffee as I have now and it even lasts until my 4:30pm crossfit class. I was taking a pre workout before, now I don't even need too. I haven't added the oil because the stores around here do not have 100% MCT oil. I've only found 93%, so I guess ordering it on amazon will be the answer.

If your body doesn't process fats properly I don't know if you'll feel the same benefits. My boyfriend doesn't, but I also do not control what he eats because he is not me and I am okay with that. I think it is a lot better then getting fast food... Please don't ever say that's okay to eat because the bottoms line is it isn't. It's gross and not supposed to be in your body. Especially when the minerals aren't even coming from plant based so you're iron content of your meal is actually actual iron that our body can not even digest. Do your research.

Re: bulletproof coffee

Just add coconut oil instead of MCT oil.

Re: bulletproof coffee

Happy New Year.

Old topic I know, but I was asked about this today, but I never took the time to look into it. All I knew is it had a lot of extra fat. I chuckled when I read it. I immediately thought, "I wonder if Daryl thinks this is bogus?"

Why that much added fat though? Why not just the butter or a tablespoon of Coconut Oil.

Anyone done this recently. I know fats are important, but it would seem insane on the surface to add that much fat in one sitting, the website I saw calls for 2 tbsp of oil and 2 tbsp of butter lol. One of each...ok, but two? Good lord.
