Patrick - Thanks for the words of confidence dude! Means a lot coming from someone whom I consider much wiser than me.

Kelly - Yeah, I'm a bit nuts. I'm trying to balance the Smolov & the tri/CFE training. I know that means I'll 'suck' at both but so far my recovery between WODs seems pretty good so we'll see. I'm talking with Coach each day to let him know where I'm at.

Wednesday 7/14/2010 CF WOD - Smolov Week 2

WU - CFFC General, Light Squats

Back Squat - 5 x 7
Load - 230 lbs

Thursday 7/15/2010 CFE WOD - TT is not too smart

WOD - 25mile Time Trial (Bike)
Time - 1:27::46
Speed - 17.1 mph (avg) / 31.1 mph (max)
Energy - 1703cals
Climbing - 1026ft
Total Ride - 1:34::12/16.8/31.1/1794cals/1120ft

Notes - I was a little pressed for time so not enough WU on this one for sure.

Friday 7/16/2010 CF - Smolov is seriously hard...

WU - CFFC General, Light Squats

Back Squat - 7 x 5
Load - 245lbs

Notes - This is pretty amazing to me considering that my 'old' BS PR was 250lbs before starting the squat cycles with Coach.

Monday 7/19/2010 CF - Peak Week

WU - CFFC General, Light Squats

Back Squat - 5 x 3 @ 85%
Load - 245lbs

Tuesday 7/20/2010 CFE - Pool Time

WU - 200yds (3::28)
Drills - 400yds (9::07)
WOD - 8 x 100yds on 2::00 (15::34)
Kick Set - 100yds (2::07)
CD - 100yds (2::03)
Total Distance - 1600yds
Total Time - 32::19


Notes - A good 'active recovery' day in the pool is perfectly timed for my peak week with the Smolov cycle. At least it's worked out this time.

That is some crazy awesome work! Any guesses as to where your BS PR will be when you're done the squat cycles? I'm going to go out on a limb and say worthy of a .
