I have been doing SS and I have been drinking .5 gallons of whole organic milk along with tons of meat and veggies. Aside from 1 piece of fruit daily, there is just the sugar from the milk and fibrous carbs. I am finding that this still supports recovery and no fat gain. My goal was to use SS to gain some strength with no loss of conditioning and it seems to be working. 5K times are the same and sprints are still going well. It's interesting in seeing how everyone responds to this program.
