What would be a typical example of a cycle?

Typical Creatine cycle with a loading phase is

Week 1 20g/day (powder form)

Wk2-4 5-10g/day

Wk5-8 Off cycle

rinse repeat.

I have done creatine cycles for years, and recently switched over to using, and have had very satisfying results from Kre-Alkalyn pill form. Less creatine, no loading, and minimal creatine "water bloat"

So it is taken every day not just on workout days when you are using it “on cycle”? Does it make a difference when it is taken in relation to a workout i.e. just after or just before? I have also heard that a load cycle is unnecessary....

thx

Yes to every day when on cycle, usually 1-2hrs before workouts in a glass of water. The loading phase is usually split to 5g 4 times a day spread evenly.

There is a lot of on again/off again conversations about taking creatine powder with fruit juice for the glycemic spike to create a more rapid absorbtion, but from what I have found most people just take it with a glass of water.

As for brands, before I switched to taking Kre-Alkalyn creatine pill form, I used American Creatine. 1000g will run you about $25 off a site like Musclesurf and that will last quite a while, enough for several cycles.
