I just made it through my vasectomy recovery weekend! Other than the mild uncomfortable feeling of being barea$$ neket in the Dr's office while he talked about everything from the weather to what school I went to, it wasnt all that bad. It was only 45 min from the time I got there to the time I left with maybe 20 minutes being under the soldering iron. I spent the weekend wishing I could do something active but relegating myself to beating a couple of my xbox games and watching "The Pick of Destiny."

Anyways, to anyone considering getting the big V done, have no fear. It really wasn't that bad at all. I barely had any discomfort throughout the weekend.

Nick

Nick, thanks for the update I have been avoiding the big V for the last year. I think I just need to go get it done.

I will plan it for my next recovery week and that will give me more of a reason to just take it easy.

Re: I made it!

I just had the procedure this morning. I am surprised how good I feel. Very little discomfort. My Dr. used a no scalpel method.

I am bringing this thread back up because I would like a little input on how long you guys waited to start working out again? How long until body weight exercises? How long to using heavy weights?

I am anxious to get back in the gym. I was thinking about an easy heavy bag workout Tuesday morning to see how it felt then on to body weight workouts Wednesday and Thursday. That will give me 4 days of recovery time. If all goes well, back to weights on Saturday - 8 days recovery. Reasonable or Stupid?
