Do I have the right idea with my nutrition?

I've recently changed my overall philosophy on nutrition a bit, and would like to run it by you guys to see if I'm off base. I believe that results will come

70% from what I eat. Basically don't eat crap and stick to the plan. Eat only what's on my list. Right now I'm going by the CFFB diet, Paleo+milk.

25% from the macro nutrient distribution; the specific amount of carbs, proteins, etc. I think as long as the calories, protein and carbs are close to the range I want, I'm ok.

5% timing of the meals and what I eat in each meal. As long as it balances out over a day, and I eat well after my workout, I'm ok. I just don't see IF or timing tricks really doing that much compared the contents of the diet.

Is this generally true????????

What exactly is your plan? And, what exactly is on your list of foods you're going to eat?

All athletic results (assumed as we are on this forum) come 100% from what you do, what you eat, and how well you recover. I don't understand the need to quantify the effect of one portion on the total outcome.

Re: Do I have the right idea with my nutrition?

I'm doing this (below) from the CFFB website. I recently went from about 190 to 186 and 17% to 13% (estimated) while training for a physical exam. I had to sacrifice strength training a bit, and I want to get back new strength PRs. I think CFFB will allow me to maintain my endurance/cardio which is at an all time high.w

Ideally, I would like to maintain the BF% and gain a few lbs. I want to eat extra clean since I'm asking a lot of myself for the next few months.
