That was amazing. That race is one of those rare moments in sports that just has it all.

Ughhh I know. I wonder if we attacked him and forced him to eat Paleo or Zone... think he could possibly be any better?

And the 400m relay... I honestly don't cry often. Last night, I cried. The spirit of the sport always gets to me. Besides, no one should talk smack. I don't care who you are. That was automatic negative karma points for the French. Well deserved win by the US

Lezak's (the last American) relay split was something incredible. He is 32 years old and coaches himself. He was racing the previous world record hold, Alain Bernard. I would have bet my soul that the US would have gotten second. He split 46.06. Without a relay start that's about 46.8 The world record is 47.24. I can't wait to see that 100 free.

Re: Olympic swimming...Michael Phelps...

Yeah I just watched him swim the 200 fly! He's truly an amazing athelete. He brought back memories when I did competitive swimming before my back surgery! And to top it all off, I had been thinking about some posts that other fellow Xfitters have posted about Olympians not being able to amount to an Xfitter in the Crossfit games...well I bet Phelps would do just fine! Did y'all see how he also trained. I know we did lots of pull-ups weight training (hang cleans, thrusters, lunges, squats, box jumps, etc.) and ran on top of swimming twice a day, each practice 2 hours long! Talk about intense...so I can only imagine what his training is like!
GO TEAM USA! Keep up the crazy training Crossfitters!

There are not even remotely enough calories in those diets to fuel a world class swimmer.
His lifestyle isn't exactly Paleo, you know. He trains for hours a day which is not something a Paleo diet can support. His caloric need far outpaces what the Zone can provide.
