Starting For newcomers to the CrossFit methodology

Hey all
I have been following the CFWOD for abut 2 weeks
I have a question regarding the WO schedule
I am an advid WO aholic and find that CF fits great into my daily schedule
I do however enjoy my weekends to coach. work around the house but most of all spend time with my family
Any problems with me WO 5 straight days and taking the weekend off?
I usually catch up agin on monday

Todd,
You will get diff. answers from diff. people on this. I workout Mon and Tues, and Thurs- Sat. I've made fine progress on that schedule. One of my friends at work goes 5 days straight and takes the weekend off. After two years he is still recording PR's monthly.

Hey Todd,

I don't think 5 on/2 off would be a problem in terms of health/progress. Keep your nutrition and sleep on track and that should keep you running smooth.

I just came off a rough weekend of coaching and am having trouple getting motivated
I am hoping I can keep the CF intensity up

Todd, welcome to CrossFit!
A pace I can stay with consistently is usually to train Mon-Wed, take Thurs off, then hit it again Fri & Sat.
Jeff's suggestion is excellent, and I do that periodically as well.
