Mind Body to Zen Planner

Howdy. We have been using Mind Body for a year and a half now and I am very much over it. I would like to switch to Zen Planner. It looks like it might be a lot of work to switch. Has anyone made this migration with 125+ members and over a year of history? Was it a ridiculous amount of work? Was it worth it?

Thanks.

I don't know about the actual switch over and what will/wont work. I will say just contact Zen Planner yourself. I met Ben and Filipina at a seminar and they are great people. They are extremely dedicated to the product and it's support/growth. They iterated numerous times that they want people to contact them and seek advice/help/suggestions.

that's my advice.

let us know how it shakes out.

CrossFit LA made the transition about a year and a half ago and we had over 250 students at the time. It is totally possible. Contact ZP and chat with Ben and Filipina.

Thanks Becca. That eases my fears. Are you a lot happier with ZP?

Re: Mind Body to Zen Planner

What are the chief complaints with Mindbody? I've been using it for about 6 months now and I don't have any real problems with it. Just curious, that's all. I've heard good things about ZP too.

I would also like to know what makes it so much better. iv been on MBO for almost 2 years without much complaint but I would change if something was that much better.

Re: Mind Body to Zen Planner

We've been using MBO for about a year and a half as well. I loved it at first but lately it just seems to be more software than I need. It has some very powerful tools and features, but it seems I am always having to customize something for it do what I want it to. For a year and half I've been saying to myself, "once I get <this feature> set up, it will be maintenance-free and I won't have to worry about it anymore". Plus I want to switch merchant account service companies (to Gulf Management Systems) to save money (the way we do things, we average a minimum charge of about 3% per transaction using the MBO services) and they won't contract with any other company so that will add more work to my member payments tracking.

GMS integrates with ZenPlanner so I am looking into them as well. Anyone out there who has used both MBO and ZP, what's your comparison? Any feautures you miss/prefer/hate?

Thanks for any input!

Re: Mind Body to Zen Planner

Zen Planner seems crazy expensive to me. We go through NGIN.COM WFS and I thought they were expensive but not even close to what ZP is. Our website accepts credit cards and does everything I need it to do. Including all of our waivers and customer accounts.

If I may ask....Why does everyone like ZP so much?

Re: Mind Body to Zen Planner

For me it is just frustrating. I am tired of dealing with all of the work-arounds. Nothing seems to be easy. It took me an hour the other day to create 3 simple events.
