Someone has asked for a video of dumbbell triceps rollbacks

This is one of the exercises listed in my hybrid Westside/CF program which was published in the journal recently. Someone had asked for a video.

By the, disregard the giggling at the beginning... Private joke.

Re: Someone has asked for a video of dumbbell triceps rollbacks

Thanks Chris, that helps.

I googled the tricep rollback after reading your article. If you hadn't posted your video there's a risk people would have been doing this silly thing instead: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P9DviHQYKG4 (WFS) ("this doesn't seem to be working my triceps much, but Chris said to do them . . ." )

P.S. You also prescribed Tate Presses. Does this video show a good example of a dumbbell tate press? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_o2Ou...eature=related (WFS)

That is a better video in terms of the plane of motion, but DO NOT bounce the dumbbells off your chest. You should lower them and let them very gently touch, or come to a complete stop.

Geez, I hope no one does that other motion in the first video...

Re: Someone has asked for a video of dumbbell triceps rollbacks

Thanks for the video Chris!

The floor rollback video was the exact reason why I wanted to see a different video of the exercise. When I saw that video I was like 'for real...?', got down on the floor, and tried it out without the weights. Yes, when you push back with your hands against the floor, the triceps activate... but it doesn't seem to be a contraction that is part of movement, but rather something that is just holding your body in that weird curled position. Didn't think it would transfer to lockout much...

I'm just glad that you posted your video before I started trying to do those in front of my students!
