Today's WOD(CFT) Completely "Wasted" Me?

I'm a bit stumped about what my body is doing. Today's workout has left me completely wasted - sore, flabby, specific and general fatigue - and this being 7 hours of resting, eating, and napping after finishing the WOD. I had a great session producing PR's in all three lifts and felt great when I left the gym. But within an hour of getting home I felt like I got hit by truck (fatigue). I've been working Crossfit since 1/1/09 and I've been doing the Brand X Scale workouts (Buttercup upto Pack) and have obviously felt tired after each workout, but nothing with this kind of delayed effect. If this kind of effect has been previously talked about, please direct me to threads previous "threads" (no use wasting breath on what has already been "hashed-out" before).

Thanks,
Bob

A few notes/ideas:

1. Setting three PRs in one day on these three lifts can wipe you out. I feel the same way right now, 4 hours post-WOD, and I've been doing this for nearly two years. In fact, if you're strong enough to be moving heavy weights around, a 1RM deadlift alone can wipe you out for the rest of the day. Something to consider.

2. If you've just started CF a few weeks ago, and have been going at it with intensity the whole time, you might be ready for a little rest. Consider taking an extra day or two off if you don't feel recovered tomorrow morning.

3. Eat more. Sleep well. Drink more water than you think you have to.

Finally, congratulations on your PRs! Welcome to CrossFit!

How is your diet? I would not think you would be fatigued the way you describe after the max's for the exercises...low sugar?

Not used to heavy lifting, eh? Probably just beat your CNS down heavily.

If it's a usual thing then that may be a cause for some concern such as adrenal fatigue or overreaching. However, if not should be get better over time as you lift more.

Dunno your background so I can't make much if any guesses.

+ what was said above. Make sure you're eating enough, sleeping enough, relieving your stress enough, etc.

The CFT didn't destroy me in terms of fatigue, but I was starving the rest of the night.

It brought back memories of a younger me who used to lift heavy all the time.

The time before this time the CFT knocked me for a loop.

I was going to write a very innapropriate comment to this, but decided I would save the Mods some trouble and let you all use your imagination
