Peanut Butter And Jelly Sandwich??

I eat one Peanut Butter and sugar free Jelly sandwich on whole wheat bread besides that this is how i eat.

Breakfast: 5:30 am
2 eggs
1 banana
2cups coffee

9:00 am
1 whey protein shake

11:30 lunch
The PB and J
whey protein shake

3:00
1 1/2 cup broccoli
2 cups coffee
apple or other low GI piece of fruit

5:00 whey protein shake

8:30 Dinner
10 oz meat
1 cups spinach
1 cup broccoli

Before Bed;
1 handful of frozen blueberries

I was wondering with this diet is that PB and J really gonna affect me and stop me from having gains??

What are your goals? You mentioned "gains", but elaborate on that. There are far worse things to eat than PB&J. Much ado about nothing.

Re: Peanut Butter And Jelly Sandwich??

trying to lose about 5 more pounds, i was 180 three weeks ago when i was eating like 3500 calories a day of a lot of sandwichs and chipolte (with everything). Then i incorporated the paleo and now have thrown in the pb and j and whey protien in order to cut costs a little and still get my protein and fat. i would like to stay around 9-12% bodyfat and keep my lean muscle mass in tact.

Re: Peanut Butter And Jelly Sandwich??

I personally don't see a single PB&J as a killer of diet, assuming you've got the rest of your meals/snacks Zoned and Paleo. It's not ideal for two reasons though, mostly:

1.) Peanuts are a no-no
2.) Carbs in the bread

The sugar free jelly is probably ok, as long as it's not using artificial sweeteners in its place (you'd probably be better off with sugar than the artificial junk).

Rather than eating all of those carbs at once, you could try doing 1 slice at a time of the PB&J. Assuming you're getting enough protein, I think this would be a fine option, as you're still very high Paleo percentage.

Get your meals Zoned, and then the PB&J will be far more forgiving. There are better things you could eat in its place, but I know firsthand the delightful delicious wonders of the cost-effective PB&J

PB&J and a glass of milk.. Perfection.

I follow a mostly paleo diet, but I'm human too.

That's good stuff. I just wouldn't do it everyday..
