At a recent family gathering my relatives freaked at my body change and after trying to explain crossfit and paleo and giving them links to the site I was met with mostly blank stares. So I created this site for my dumb and lazy relatives. I tried to take the most basic stuff and present it in the most simple way.
work safe www.simplefit.org I know it it lacking in many ways but think it might be easy enough to get some people going. (Message edited by kmckay on February 20, 2007) (Message edited by kmckay on February 20, 2007) |

Good stuff. Sometimes simple is just what people want, and need....as long as they get results, that is what matters.

Thanks Mike! I really appreciate the feedback.
I really think it is so easy it could get people crossfitting that normally wouldn't. |

I like the simplicity too.
Kevin, was it easy to add the forum? Any tips you can give me to add one to my site? |

I run the site on the stable branch of Debian Linux and phpbb2 is one of the available forum packages, it uses mysql as the db backend.
Safe links unless you own ms stock :P http://www.debian.org/ http://packages.debian.org/stable/web/phpbb2 If you are familiar with Linux it is fairly simple. You can pm me if you want more info. Cheers |

good stuff man.
my only suggestion? summarize the articles. if the whole purpose of the site is to get people with minimal activity levels moving, your audience will also more than likely stop reading once they see "vo2max." a quick summary box to the right of each article stating something along the lines of "four minutes vs. forty minutes: several intense, short bursts broken up by shorter rest periods provides for greater fat loss, improved energy levels than long periods of jogging or biking." doing something to catch their eye quickly will improve the chances of them following through. |
