OK, that was a lame title but it came to me as I started typing. We went after 50 last year on my 50th birthday and when that was done I believe it was Jeff Martin that told us all the next challenge should be 65. So be it. A bit of a jump from my 51 but Chris Jordan is at 25 and he wants in. He prompted me to get this going so here we go. Here are the results from last year.

Same rules: On November 27th you jump up on a pullup bar and do as many pullups as you can. Chin over the bar, kipping is allowed of course -encouraged in fact, but no hooks, wraps, straps or other assistance is allowed. Grip changes are allowed but you have to stay on the bar. When you come off the bar you're done. But, there is a second list for those who can't get to 65 all in one go but but get their 65 in a very compressed time with minimal bar releases.

Quite a few pullup threads going on in the board about increasing pullup numbers...now you have a reason to. Ahmik Jones had 60 in the last contest and was tops on the list. He doesn't have far to go.

See you at the bar.

The Martin clan is in of course.

Are we shooting for your birthday again Eugene? If so there's one more rule. We save 65 for the special day. Until the big day everyone gets off the bar at 64.

Thank you Jeff, I forgot about that part. The present to you is the crazy accomplishment of 65 pullups, your present to me is that you don't actually do the 65 until Novenber 27th. You can do 8 sets of 64 if you want to, but save that 65th rep for November 27th.

Count me in. I missed the 50 challenge and this is exactly the kind of motivation I need.
