This week I did some DB/ PU combos I liked. At one point it included DB Squat clean/ Alt Sots press+OHS, but that was a little too out there.

Tuesday was with 30 lb DB

Thursday I repeated with some edits, using 40 Lb DBs:

10 single arm/leg split snatch each side
10 Pullups
10 Squat clean and jerks (2 dbs)
10 Pullups
10 1 arm snatch each side
10 pullups
10 OHS each side
10 pullups

2 rounds, timer not set at the start, second round was 13 minutes.

Tom,

I like the sound of Squat clean/ Alt Sots press+OHS. I'm going to try that with my kettlebells tomorrow. What was too out there about it? Did it just not 'flow'?

I think it was just a little too much going on for that workout. I don't do sots press often, and I was using the bigger round dbs, which were a little awkward to hold racked while the other was up for the OHS. Maybe that makes it something I need to work on, but I would practice a few times first. I think this would feel more "right" with kettlebells, but the double 53s might not be a good starting point.

Tried this one this morning, just a higher-volume variation of the WOD I posted before.

For time:
100 Pistols (alternating)
50 Muscle-ups
80 Pistols (alternating)
40 Muscle-ups
60 Pistols (alternating)
30 Muscle-ups
40 Pistols (alternating)
20 Muscle-ups
20 Pistols (alternating)
10 Muscle-ups

I got 35:59. It was actually a lot easier than I expected, since I thought it would take 45-50 minutes. I was pleased.

Made the most of my Big Box, around the corner this morning (my first homemade WOD)--please critique!:

21-15-9, three rounds:

24" box jumps
95# SDHP

22:34--Had to break up the SDHP's into manageable sets, with 2 minutes rest between rounds.

"Cool down" with 3x30 sec L sits, found legs drooping about 15 seconds into each, pulled into tuck position to complete round...

4 rounds
-35 lb db turkish get-up, 5/side
-35 lb db snatch, 10/side
-pistols, 5/side
-20 box jump

I did this in 41:41 and it was butt hard. Much more so than I anticipated. First attempt at turkish get-ups, and first attempt at pistols.

10 dips
10 Monster tire flips
15' rope climb - hands only (controled descend)
