Re: 630 Deadlift

Anthony,

Congrats .You already know this but that was awesome. I am about the same size and am working up to getting past 400 DL, hopefully chase to 500 this year. This gets me pumped to go deadlift. I follow your log as well and am blown away by numbers.

Re: 630 Deadlift

It felt heavy as ****! I did 625 five minutes prior and THAT was fast. Felt awesome. Unfortunately I didn't get that one on video.

Re: 630 Deadlift

Hey just curious -- and I mean this without sarcasm -- but how's your flexibility? I rarely see normal-ish sized guys on these forums with incredible numbers, and because it's kindof a goal of mine to be super strong at a normal/lean weight while still being able to pull off some medium-advanced gymnastics stuff (that typically only smaller guys can pull of anyway), I wonder about the compromises sometimes. I suppose it's as simple as if you train it you'll have it, but perhaps you could share your thoughts on some of the compromises you feel like you have (or have not) had to make to get that strong. Thanks.

Re: 630 Deadlift

Mauricio, I would say my flexibility is above average. I do yoga without any major issues, brazilian jiu jitsu, levers, planche, press to stand, standing back flip, etc. Basically, I lift, I run, I do chinups ... I don't feel like I compromise any aspect of my fitness.
