I heard that coach talks about midline stabilization as opposed to doing crucnhes on swiss balls, can someone explain what this is? and why swiss balls dont achieve it?

Swiss balls are fine, but they are not the "core miracle" that marketers would like you to believe. There's just a ton of other things you can do to strengthen your core. Lifts like the OHS require active controlled stabilization as there is a large load on the end of a long lever. This generates a fantastic stimulus while concurrently working other things. Crunches on a swiss ball are just a bit inefficient.
