Welcome Lesley! The CF stuff will really help you turn the corner with the marathon stuff. I second the crossfit endurance site. Say goodbye to LSD runs!

Re: Air Force Chick Looking for a Challenge!

Welcome! I am also a newbie, and also training for a marathon (MCM). BTW, you look great...I'd be jealous if I didn't know how much sweat and tears you probably put in to get that way!

Re: Air Force Chick Looking for a Challenge!

Lesley-

I am proud to say I have a cousin who is in the Air Force, and I am hoping to introduce her to CF when she comes home in a few weeks. DO you think that CF has made the physical aspect of your job easier? Would you recommend it to other airmen?

Much respect,

Joe

Re: Air Force Chick Looking for a Challenge!

Congrats you will love it. I'm an endurance junkie myself and you'll be amazed at how fast you will get by dropping the LSD runs and following the crossfit method. If you get into adventure races you will drop your pursuit of road courses. Pavement is lame compared to dirt, water, rocks, trees, no cars, poision ivy, and chiggers. Dropped a minute per mile on my 5 k training runs in 4 weeks and never ran anything over a mile for that time period.

With a picture like that I figured you would get a lot of responses.

Re: Air Force Chick Looking for a Challenge!

I just started last week and i know how you felt when a 20 min. workout had more effect then my hour to hour and a half routine before. Hope to see some of your run times.

Re: Air Force Chick Looking for a Challenge!

Lesley,

CF will definitely help your endurance events, 1/2 marathon, etc. Check out my blurb on the Testimonials page about my Oly Tri this past Sunday. CF + CF Endurance = Success.

And Warren, you are right. But as hot as the bikini shot is, I like the rifle shot better!!!

Re: Air Force Chick Looking for a Challenge!

Brian, you are correct. The rifle shot is hot, but I felt like being Alpha Male, Pig at the time. I'm sure it just came off as creepy ole' dude.
