I am 6'4" and can do pistols, HSPUs (head to floor), and my record for consec pull ups is 53.

I have found that while our stature hurts us in many 'competitive' workouts, it is entirely made up by the fact that we can reach things that other people cant.

This is from a post I wrote back in June 2005

"I suffer from a disease called "Tootall". It is a condition that one can live with but can make life very difficult. I always hit my head on stuff, shorter people always want me to reach stuff for them, squats and pull ups are near impossible due to the distance I must travel, I have trouble fitting in most cars, planes, and bathtubs. There are many other maladies that I don't care to mention.

My affliction makes me stand out in a crowd. Some people stare. Some people point. Some people just love to ask "How's the weather up there?" while snickering.

The weather is cold. Cold and lonely.

In case you were wondering this condition is passed on genetically, but there are behaviors you can do to prevent/minimize the condition known as 'Tootall'. Most of these measures must be taken during the growing phase of life (age 0 - 20)

Drinking milk has been directly linked to excess height. So has a properly balanced diet especially when combined with exercise. Laying down may exacerbate the problem, so getting as little sleep as possible might also be a good idea.

If you are already afflicted by this condition, there is not much you can do but live with it. There are some radical surgeries (foot removal, head removal, etc.), but these come with side effects of their own.

If you think you might suffer from this condition to some degree, you can find me tuesday nights at the P.W.A.T. (People Who Are Tootall) meetings every Tuesday night. "

Matt,

In John Sherman's book "Better Bouldering" there's a picture of Jim Holloway (work/family safe) doing a perfect front lever.
According to the page above he's 6'5"...
Now go get'em

All Bad.

Well, maybe not ALL bad. I can get my carry on luggage in and out of the overhead compartment with ease - of course in a lot of smaller planes I can't even stand up all the way in the center isle.

The worst is when you have a fight on Saturday night, then an early 5 hr flight on Sunday. Stiff, stiff, stiff.
