Yep, that's a downhill bike!
Hey Nik I may go again Sunday-are you in???

Nancy-helmet, chest protector, shinguards, elbow and forearms guards.. what am I missing from the list? Yeah, I've used 'em too!

Hey Natasha- thanks! 1 pushup more than last time lol

4pm Burgener warmup.
Going mountain biking for about an hour after work, then home for the WOD.

Coach has me doing ring L sits, dips and trying to get strict chest to bar pullups whenever I think of it.

Re: Camille the newb

Tonight's WOD:
Complete as many rounds as possible 20 minutes of:
95 pound Thruster, 5 reps
95 pound Hang Powercleans, 7 reps
95 pound Sumo Deadlift High-pull, 10 reps

Used 65 lbs, 1 pood kettlebell
5 Rounds+ 5 thrusters +5 cleans.
Did hang squat cleans, subbed kettlebell swings for the SDHP.
Last time I did 6 rounds+, but I did sumo deadlifts for the SDHP, so this isn't really a comparison.

I should clarify about the chest to bar pullup attempts- she wants me to do dead hangs and try to pull up as high as I can get to train for a muscle up. However, I'm not having any luck at the moment getting above a regular pullup. She suggested bands or using a chair and just holding myself up high to get used to activating that part of the muscle.
I'll keep trying!

Nice work Lore.

Good luck with the chest to bar dead hangs. It really requires activation of the lats to get that high.

Hey bud- that mountain biking is in Vernon, New Jersey at a place called Diablo Mountain Bike Park. Come on over! Of course, there's plenty of other riding around here in Eastern PA!

The ride was pretty good! It was about an hour and 15 minutes. Found some cool swoopy sections of trail that my friend would not ride, but I loved! I also kept smokin her on the uphills in the woods, but she smokes me on the uphills on the road! The ride ended with a solid 400m uphill road climb. Yuck.
Sounds like your bike would be great fun!

Had a planning commission meeting last night, and yesterday was Nate so I elected to take a rest day and do Nate tonight.

Coach Kelly came up with a different rep scheme for squats today:
45#x50, then rest as long as it took to do the 50, then 45#x25.
She said if it was too light to add weight for the 25rep portion.

Took me 2:32 to do the 50, rested 2:30, then 1:08 to do the 25@55lbs.

I didn't rerack the bar and stopped just a few times because of burning in my legs and a little panting. Next time I do this, she said to use 65#. Something tells me that will be the special hell I was expecting!

Re: Camille the newb

My glutes and quads burn just thinking about all those squats. 45...65, it all still hurts.

Re: Camille the newb

Yeah, there was a bit of a burn.

Tonight's WOD:
Nate
AMRAP 20 minutes
2 muscle ups
4 handstand pushups
8 2 pood kettlebell swings

Scaled to:
Seated muscle ups with feet on York bench
HSPUs with feet on same
1pood kettlebell swings.
12 rounds+1 muscle up.

Been having a bit of trouble getting enough food in me lately. Seems I need to get more in the morning, but I'm not really a breakfast person. By the time I get home at night, I still need to eat half my food for the day. I tend to run around a lot in the evenings also. A few nights this week,I've woken up hungry in the middle of the night.

I need to pay more attention to getting enough food in.

Oh man I know what you mean, I am not eating enough either. It plagues me. I eat loads and I am not eating enough to maintain. It is really hard.

Great job with Nate, how were the MU progressions?

Re: Camille the newb

Adding milk (and chocolate syrup) to get my intake up. Sorry, I can't just drink milk by itself!

Today's WOD:
Overhead squat 3-3-3-3-3
65-65-70-75-80-85-90-95x1, failed one, stopped.

Last time I stopped at 75. PR!

My legs felt more solid and strong. Used the oly shoes (yay).
Kelly wanted me to try 100x1, but I was hesitant so she told me to stop.
