Matt, I too would have laughed had I heard someone say "Do you want plastic wrapped around your meat?" especially if it was said to a dude.

I find I like the SJ's more than the PJ's because I can do more weight, but I feel like I can get under the weight easier with the SJ

That jerk weight is pretty decent! How about going a little lighter for form work?
Nice job on that PU and squat WOD. Gotta love tghose quickies!

Mike - Yeah I'm finding myself getting more comfortable with the SJs for weight but still gotta work on getting lower. Like the Keithanator says, I'll work something lighter for the form work soon.

Warm Up - CFFC Basic, 'The Gymnast' 1 cycle

Front Squat (83%+) - 3 3 3 3 3 3
Loads - 135/145/155/165/155/175

'J.T.' - 21-15-9 reps for time of:
a. HSPUs (used big blue band & parallettes)
b. Ring Dips
c. Push-ups (on parallettes)

Time - 15::09

Thursday 8/13/2009 CF WOD - There's a reason for the 3 on/1 off thing...

Warm Up - CFFC Basic, Foam Rolling, 'Svetlana' 1 cycle

AMRAP in 30 mins of:
a. 5 KTEs (kipping/swinging)
b. 10 KB Swings (24 / 16 kg)

Rounds - 32

Notes - So, I've been at it for 4 days straight this week since I'm not sure what my schedule will look like after tomorrow when I check back into the Active Navy. The past 3 days I've felt great. This morning I woke up & I felt pretty sore. Guess Coach Glassman knows a thing or two about programming when he prescribes the 3 on / 1 off thing, eh?

Nice time on JT, Matt. I still have yet to do that one, my arms are very afraid to take that WOD on. BTW the package was shipped Thursday AM, I have no idea when it'll get there-probably early next week

Holy. CRAP!

Has it really been a month since I posted? I could bore you guys with some excuses but I'm not. Here's a quick update:

Got activated. Got trained up. Got to Bahrain. Got sent home a week later because my Grandfather died from Leukemia. Got back to Bahrain a week+ after that. Went around to a couple of places on work stuff from here. Have been hitting some WODs during the time but kinda sporadic. Now I'm back here in Bahrain...for a little while before more travel. Good times.

Sunday 9/27/2009 CF WOD - Time for some testing...

Warm Up - CFFC Basic

Test Max Pull-ups - 30 (PR)
Four sets @ 65% - 10-12-15-10 (booo...)

Sunday 9/27/2009 CFE WOD - 10x Repeats

Warm Up - CFFC Basic, Easy 800m run, stretch

Run - 10 x 200m with 5 times the recovery (if it takes 40 seconds to run the 200m then you recover 3:20)
Intervals (secs) - 49/43/40/43/45/44/45/45/46/46

Monday 9/28/2009 CF WOD - Aw Mom, not more tests...

Warm Up - CFFC Basic

Test Max Push-ups - 23 ring push-ups
Two sets @ 80% - 16-13 (booo...)

5 rounds for time of:
a. Run 400m
b. 50% Max Push-ups (12 ring push-ups for me)

Time - 12::54

Notes - Hopefully things will start to settle out for me now. I'll be in touch.

Sorry to hear about your grandfather.

I've been thinking about you-figured you were of at training and maybe travelling. Good to hear from you!

Thought about you Saturday as a matter of fact, when I went for a 25 mi road ride. Thought about how you'd be cranking away, enjoying yourself while I struggled!!

Camille - Thanks Sista! I'm flattered you were just thinking about me. I'm not sure I would be cranking away on that ride. Probably be suffering right next to you. There is a pretty big group of riders who do rides out here. Hopefully I can jump in on some of them...I got my fluid trainer if not. Rough living I tell ya.
