Good to see you back, V - and good for you for sorting through the muck of red tape to get toward your goal. You'll definitely be in my thoughts...I know the whole process can be taxing at best and it doesn't help that the gov't sometimes seems to take great joy out of keeping something good away from the people that need it most.

Ugh Good luck with dealing with DC/finding an affiliate home!!! Do you think you may have to try outside of DC, like Maryland or VA, at least temporarily?

I have, but I really want to serve the low income community East of the River, which means I need to have a location that is accessible by bus and walking and near the community I want to serve. It will work out.

I am really exhausted this morning. I haven't been sleeping well the last few days. My mind has been in hyperdrive, so I can't get to sleep. Maybe I need to meditate. LOL.

Clean & Jerk (70% x 2 x 3)
45 lbs x 5
65 lbs x 3

Working: 80 lbs x 2, 2, 2

Clean Pull (90% of max clean x 3 x3)
Working: 100 lbs x 3, 3, 3

Clean DL (100% of max clean x 3 x 3)
120 lbs x 3, 3, 3

*It's weird DL'ing so light, but the set up is different than a regular DL. Next time these come around I may sub regular DLs.

Back Squat (75% x 3 x 5)
45 x 5
95 x 5
135 x 3, 3, 3
*I just realized that I was supposed to do 5 sets and 145 lbs. Oops. Clearly my mind was out of it this morning.

Hanging Leg Raises (Toes to Bar)
10 x 3

Side Bends
35 lbs x 10 x 3

Good to see you back, V - we've missed you around here! I know you'll get the affiliate going - I'm just sorry that the politics/permits/red tape stuff is such a pain.

I was in your neck of the woods this weekend - Number One Son had a soccer tournament in Germantown. Thought about looking you up, but we were pinched for time. The only time we got into DC was Saturday night for the DC United/Real Salt Lake match.

Nice snatch, C&J and metcon work! As always, you are making it look easy, and making it look good!

Good luck with finding the right place for your affiliate. It's great that you are trying to serve a low income community that I'm sure is currently underserved by CF. It sounds like a lot to sort through, but I'm glad to hear you are well on your way!
