Is this a good diet to get back into shape going along with crossfit?

allright guys. this past week i literally abused my body. i ate like 5 large cookies a day and pizza hot dogs and yucky stuff! im 14. 5'7. love working out. i can't handle the junk no more. since it was the first week of school i allowed myself a binge week cuz of all the junk i saw kids consuming. now heres my diet:

Wakeup: Crossfit WOD.
Breakfast: Oatmeal with milk.
Snack: Piece of bread with 1 tbsp pb. + half power bar.
Lunch: slice of bread + salad with lettuce, turkey , ham, chicken breast, a little cheese + 1 tbsp salad dressing of my choice (this time its thousand island, tomorrow caesar, etc.) + Gatorade (might cut this out, but it helps keep my hydrated so idk)
after lunch=football practice
Dinner: Whatever my parents make since im 14.

is this a good way to whip my butt into shape by december? im already lean but i gained like 3 pounds of fat this week and think i lost a bit of muscle. also i've been weight training for 5 months. should i do the teen workouts or the ones on the main page? i can do 7 straight pull ups but 15 chin ups and 40 pushups. and like 200 crunches straight so idk which one to do..

also after the WOD i do 10 mins on the elliptical in my basement.

have your parents pay for you to go to an affiliate. At least for a month or so...Learn the movements and apply it to your training. as for diet, just do your best to avoid junk. pop and candy are the easy things to cut out...stay away from vending machines.

Also...what Blair said...

To me it sounds like a crummy diet.... You need to eat fruit meat and vegies. All that bread and starchy crap is no good for you. you cant go wrong with lean protien, frutis, vegies and milk.

Re: Is this a good diet to get back into shape going along with crossfit?

1. You are 14 and 5'7, but how much do you weigh?

2. Doesn't sound like enough food for a 14yo boy doing football but it's also hard to tell based on we don't know what you're eating for dinner.

CrossFit does not care if you want to do extra elliptical work. Sure, it's cute but there isn't really a need for slow cardio with CrossFit...unless you're really fat and need some extra caloric burn.

well im 14. 5'7 120 pounds. im not anorexic, i just like eating healthy so thats why i don't weigh much.

So i cut out the power bar and gatorade and that took out 100 grams of carbohydrates from my diet. lol. can you believe 300 calories worth of food can contain that many carbs? jeez! i replaced with a bag of chips, which is 150 calories, 15 grams carbs, and WAY less sugar. i know its still kinda unhealthy. also i added some vanilla whey to the peanut butter sandwich, i had a sample bite with todays oatmeal and it was DELICIOUS! i can't wait till lunch now to try out my salad. btw the peanut butter and whey is only on one piece of bread.
