This was exactly my point, doing negatives and going purposely slow and getting the time that John got is really good. John, I hope you understand I wasn't being critical, but rather giving you props.

I have to agree that on WOD that is for time, go kipping until you can't and then revert to jumping. Track your performance, particularly at what point in the workout you had to switch to jumping and try to progress from there the next time that WOD comes up again to gauge progression. Maybe reserve a little negative work for after your WOD, a warmup, or extra work on rest days. But still, good job John.

Carlos, I understand. I am still trying to get the program together. Thanks for the feedback.

Re: My first Fran

Pre workout jitters and nervousness are why I've procrastinated almost 36 hours to do this WOD, but I just got done. 7:16. A PR for me down from 14:59. I cut my time in more than half. I should have done this yesterday morning. I don't know why Fran had me so intimidated. Is this normal?

Re: My first Fran

I did the Fran for the first time this morning and i had butterflies in my stomach the whole night. I ended up doing it at 3:00 exactly. I was bummed that I got so close to performing the Fran under 3 minutes, but i was still happy with the time being my first attempt.
