Rest between sets?

When we do WOD's llike today's where it was 7x1 hang cleans, what should be the rest between reps? Same goes for any time we do an olympic lif:, clean, deadlift, squat, etc...whether it's 7x1, 5x3, 5x5, etc...

I know CF is all about intensity and normally when I do a WOD that's got multiple exercises and sets I go from one exercise to the next with only the time it takes for me to move to where I'm doing the next exercise, but I figured there should be at least some time built in there. Usually I workout with a buddy, so our rest on these kinds of WOD's is the time when the other one's doing the lift, but today I did it solo and took about 40 seconds between reps. Is that too long?

Too short.

3-5 minutes for full recovery. If you are doing lifts that really tire the CNS like deadlifts, you may need 6-10 minutes for the last few sets.
