Mental recovery from ACL Tear

I am now just under 12 months past an ACL tear and allograft reconstruction. I tore my right ACL in a rugby match while tackling someone. I can now sprint about the same speed I was at before. I can (or subconsiously will only let myself) cut at about 75%. I find that this self imposed limitation is holding me back form returning to the field. How do I get past the mental block? Anyone with similar experience?

-Holding myself captive.....

Re: Mental recovery from ACL Tear

Adam, i am 7 mo. post hammy graft and 1 mo. post meniscus clean up. Although not as far along as you, i can't wait untill i can stop worrying about this injury. From what I understand, if its any consolation, alot of people have the same mental block once they have recovered.
