2 a days with Met-cons first? Thoughts?

I have been crossfitting for about 8-9 months and I LOVE it! One downside is my strength hasn't improved for about 2-3 months.

What is everyone's thoughts and opinions on doing a met-con first then later at night doing strength work?
My met-cons would vary day-to-day from anything Fran to Filthy Fifty.
While about 5 or more hours later I would be doing Wendlers 5-3-1 program.

I know most people will ask why not do the strength first then the met-con that is because I am still in highschool and in our fitness we do crossfit inspired WOD's so I don't really have a choice for my workouts(which is fine, I love CF anyways)

If we do a strength day in my fitness class then I would just call it a day then and not do 2 Strength WOD's in the same day.

Thoughts and Opinions would be awesome,
thanks

You'll most likely have to eat and sleep more, but you should be fine

Alright, ya sleeping and eating won't be a problem. I try to eat as close to Paleo as I can, as for sleeping I get usually 8-8.5 hours of sleep 5-6 days a week anyways.
Only thing I was worried about was if the met-cons would effect my numbers of the lifting. I won't be doing 2/days everyday just the monday, wednesday, friday for Wendlers.

First off, I think it is awesome that you are doing CF inspired stuff at school. With regards to your plan, I would be cautious of over training but obviously that is a personal thing. Also as Jamie mentioned you are going to have to eat a lot more especially if you are trying to develop your strength.

Otherwise it sounds like a pretty solid plan. Good luck with it.

I don't know your height and weight, but if you are trying to get strong and wod twice per day, I think you may have to loosen up that paleo diet in order to eat enough.

I'd like to know your height/weight.

For any kind of strength gains, especially if you're already on the skinnier side (like a lot of us were in High School), you might need to get a little lax on your Paleo and start eating a lot more.

Great job Tony, if I only knew what this kid knows in HS when I was in HS!

Eat until it hurts. Keep it up the good work.
