pushups and situps

this is my first post. i am in the navy and currently trying to get to dive school. i have been crossfitting for 6months now and feel i am in overall better shape than ever. however i my weakest points are still pushups and situps. any advice on how to increase my numbers.

matt, do a search on "grease the groove" (gtg)
however, if your numbers are not seriously low, this may get too boring/time consuming.

also, remember to overload when doing standard push-ups/sit-ups. put a weight plate (25lbs) on your shoulder blades for pu's and on your chest for su's.
