Clean200

This is a PR for a full clean by 15 lbs. Any input into positions/technique is appreciated. I would also like to note that I do have Oly shoes, and typically wear them. I have recently been dealing with a bruised heel that just plain hurts too much to land on hard; hence, the running shoes.

Also, my realize that my squat strength sucks, which I have been addressing.

Re: Clean200

Looks real good, just need more pop and acceleration on the finish of the second pull, faster pull under.

Re: Clean200

Yeah that was pretty easy since you received it in a quarter squat. Like Lincoln said, a more aggressive second pull is really the only thing to add to the lift.

Re: Clean200

That was way too easy. You power cleaned it and front squatted it. You can probably squat clean 225. Just get aggressive with the bar and pull yourself under that ****er.

Hilarious.

Nice power clean, too.

Yeah, if I full squat cleaned 225, I'd simultaneously set a front squat PR - and therein lies the problem.

Thank you to everyone who has commented. You've all confirmed my feeling that I really just need to spend more time getting stronger in the squat.

Re: Clean200

Faster too. I'd suggest drilling with sub-max weights, trying to get under the bar faster without cutting the 2nd pull short.

Indeed, Lincoln. I always try to focus on quickness through the middle, and it's obvious there is still much room for improvement there. Do you have a suggestion concerning optimal % of max, reps, and sets with which to work? I should also mention that Oly lifting is not my main focus - CF is. Since I am in the gym 8 hrs/day, however, I'm still able to devote a session or two per week to the Oly lifts, in addition to the daily Burgener WU.
