I was checking out Coach Sommers' gymnastics articles on the site. Great stuff - I've got plenty of stuff from those articles to work on for a long time. But, does anyone know when his "Building the Olympic Body" book hits the presses?

I'm pretty sure as soon as anybody knows the date, it will spread all over the internet like wildfire!

Work hard on the front lever, planch and iron cross! I reckon you'll get more out of his books with that "basic" level of strength behind you.

I can hardly wait until the day I hold this book in my hands. Even here in Europe Coach Sommers' book is in great demand!

Re: Coach Sommers ' "Olympic Body" book ETA

So I went to gymnasticbodies.com today and saw "Coach Sommer's long awaited first book is now available." along the left margin. Only problem is I can't find it on gymnasticbodies.com or Amazon, any ideas or am missing something really obvious?

It's been like that for at least 2-3 months. It seems a lot longer.

Thanks for the reply. That really disappoints me, I think that book would be an extremely good addition to my library.

I never noticed that before...

Seems like a silly thing to put on your site if your book's really not available... Couldn't find any links or anything, though.

I read somewhere (I think in Sommer's forums) that the book is now at the printer. This was posted back in mid - August, so hopefully it really will be available soon.

Indeed. Coach Sommer's book has been right around the corner for a couple of years. It's probably not the best for his credibility. I'm really surprised someone hasn't beaten him to the punch.

His articles are usually pretty good so let's hope the book is even better.

From what I've seen I doubt anyone else has put in the work to deliver the "punch" Coach Sommer's book will...it hurts waiting, but there is tons of FREE info at gymnasticbodies to work on already.
