Looking for bumper plates

Can anyone help me find some inexpensive used bumper plates? I at least would like to start off with 2 45's and 2 25's. I've scoured craigslist in my area but nobody is selling any and brand new ones are far too expensive for me. Does anyone have any good places to find some or maybe someone on here is selling some used ones?

Thanks for any help.

Re: Looking for bumper plates

You might just have to dish out the money for them. I definetly recommend Glenn Pendlay and so do many others on here.
I'm actually getting quotes from alot of vendors and noone has beat the pricing he has on the Hi-Temp bumpers. I'm definetly ordering from him. Now, only if he updated the pics for his WFW bumpers, it would be great...

I'm saving also. I'm hoping in about 2 weeks I can put the order in.

Re: Looking for bumper plates

I'm looking at months from now. I bought some iron for $1/lb the other day. It's gotten crazy expensive and $1/lb was the cheapest I could find locally. So, I can workout, although, I can't do anything where I may have to drop the weight.

Used Iron should be $0.59/lb at PlayItAgainSports

Re: Looking for bumper plates

You may have luck at muscledriver, they seem to carry pretty decent Kraiburg bumpers. Here's the link to their site, I'm not sure what they charge to ship but they've got the best prices I've seen.

Dean,

You are within driving distance of Jason and Wright Rubber (Birmingham, AL). He charges $1.10/lb and you won't have to pay shipping or taxes if you contact him.

That's where I'm going, the money saved on shipping allows me to buy that much more.

Re: Looking for bumper plates

Howard, for bumper plates? That's an outstanding deal! Plus, we could go there and visit my wife's family as well.

Do you have a phone number/website for this merchant?

That's my understanding. Of course, verify before you show up.

Search the forums for more information on Wright Rubber. You should be able to find his contact email.

Good luck,
