Thumbs up Great deal on bumper plates and kettlebells.

Crossfitters, I just found an excellent source for bumper plates, kettlebells, and loads of fitness equipment. Christian's Fitness Factory and Absolute Fitness of Lancaster PA have awesome deals on fitness gear. They have free pick in North Jersey and their warehouse in Lanceater PA. I just picked up a full set of bumper plates and several kettlebells and got a pretty sweet deal. They also ship nationwide with desecent rates. You can locate them at www.afsfit.com, www.cfffit.com, and also their Ebay store.

Try the ebay store. They also have other contact info there if you search around.

Found an even better deal:

http://www.gillathletics.com/gillPow...px?subItem=108

http://www.power-systems.com/p-2459-...er-plates.aspx

These are prices for PAIRS of plates, not just individual ones.

Re: Great deal on bumper plates and kettlebells.

My 45's were 139/pair, 35's 109/pr, 25's 77/pr, 10's 31/pr. 24kg kettlebell was 65 and a 32kg for 80.

Looks like power systems only has the 35# plates.

Edit2: Never mind the above. Each size is on a different page.

The gill athletic plates are rubber rimmed cast iron. Solid rubber are much better for dropping bars from overhead, as in olympic lifts. If you aren't doing that, then rubber rimmed could work. Dropping cast iron plates, even rubber rimmed, will damage the floor and your bar over time.

edit: Here is the link for gills solid rubber . wfs http://www.gillathletics.com/gillPow...px?subItem=106
They are low on sizes too.

Re: Great deal on bumper plates and kettlebells.

I once asked them where their NJ pickup location was and it was like entering the twilight zone. Paranoia induced obfuscation. They wanted me to place an order before they'd reveal the vicinity. I guess they thought I'd cut them out as middlemen if I knew the source, but the long shot of it was I was expected to pay before knowing if the drive would be 3 minutes or 3 hours.

Anyway, they sell Cap bumpers which, I'm pretty sure, are Hi-Temps - which can be had cheaper directly from Hi-Temp.

Re: Great deal on bumper plates and kettlebells.

Im not sure why there were no bumpers on the site. Give them a call and they can get them for you. I dont know what shipping costs would be because I picked them up from the warehouse in PA.
