Sub for Box-jumps?
Knee is pretty messed up, while I can bend it well without pain I believe impact has caused most of the damage.
Whats a good sub for box-jumps that won't cause impact? What's the main muscles of focus from box-jumps? |

I think the whole point of it is to be explosive. If you can't with your knee, I would just do step ups onto the same box.

Seriously, allow your knee to recover. Step-ups sound like a good call at most, maybe just air squats to pushing off forefoot at most.

Re: Sub for Box-jumps?
I sprained my ankle and when the impact from the box jumps starts to irritate it I do the step ups. Same range of motion, just make sure you open your hips completely before stepping back down off the box.
