What equipment should I get?

Im looking to buy a 20lb weight vest, a 45 lb oly bar and rubber bumber set.

Where can i find the the best quality of the above equipment at the lowest prices?

I will be running with the vest FYI. I ve read alot of reviews about vests tearing at the seams so if you all could direct me in the right direction i would really appriciate it!! thanks!

Chris,

Based on you being in New Jersey, I would recommend checking out Troy Barbell for some of your equipment. They have a warehouse in Glassboro (googled it and it said that's about 2 hours from East Hanover). We are a dealer for their equipment, so if you would like me to give you a quote and some more info, PM me.

They do not have weight vests yet though. As for that, I only have an old academy vest that tore apart very quickly. It worked well being jerry-rigged for years though!

MIR Vests are pretty nice. And as far as plates you can get some nice econ ones from muscledriver via CSN stores. (www.csnstores.com (WFS)) just search for "Pendlay" and they will come up. There's another thread I posted with a coupon where you can even get 10% off.

As far as a bar goes, I am biased to the Rogue Bar. Anything that is guaranteed for life is good in my book. The customer service is top notch from Rogue as well.

I got the pendlay econ bumpers from csnstores.com.

For a bar look into the pendlay hd bar, rogue bar, or the b&r bar.
