Or you can just put your max bid... If its not in your budget it will at least drive the price up for him. Thats how ebay works.

Well guy I've paid my due's.
I asked a very simple and basic question... not directed at you. Becuase once again even if I do "drive up the price" if it's under what he considers reasonable then it does neither of us any good... I want the plates-he wants a certain amount (at a min.) so if I can place a bid at that... then I will have to compete with others for them but at least I know I have a chance- and he is getting his price.

While I think you asked a legitimate question, I would hardly say you've paid your dues here..... you have 18 posts.
