SS results

I just finished a 5 week SS phase and wanted to share my results with everyone. I did start with weight lower than what I could handle at first.

Squat 185 - 275
Bench 135 - 185
Press 90 - 115
PC 115 - 165
Dead 225 - 315 - 345 *with straps

I'm starting to stall too much, and affording GOMAD is too much money. So for now I have to stop.

Re: SS results

wow, those are some amazing results, makes me think about trying SS out even though my numbers are close to what your current numbers are. So how much weight did you gain how much of it is fat. Did you follow a strick GOMAD or did you have days when you consumed less and did you follow the SS to the letter or did you have changes

I didn't check my fat and weight results too much, because I didn't have a body fat tester or a scale when I started. I don't have one in my apartment, and the ones at the school gym all give radically different results. Last time I checked about 3 weeks in I gained 7 pounds. That had to be mostly muscle, because I could feel my legs growing by the week. It would be safe to assume I gained anywhere from 10-12. I followed GOMAD 6 days a week, a few times I carried over leftovers. I always split a gallon between Sat. and Sun. because of all the extra rest I got to recover. I followed the programming to the letter. This was the best program that I've ever tried coming out of a book.

Re: SS results

Are your numbers 5 rep max, or 1 rep max?

It may not be gomad only. Are you sleeping enough? I would keep going. $3.50 a day is not too much.

185 before and 192 after. I didn't notice any fat really coming on. The one thing I did notice was how my legs went from fluffy to firm. Also I thought I could squat 225 before SS, then I realized how hard it was to do a real full squat.

Sleep is definitely a problem. I have an 8AM MWF class and a 8:45AM TR internship, plus some loud roommates. On my best days I only get about 7 hours on average 5-6.
