475 lb Squat, 16 yr. old

BIG D
Age 16, B.W. 195 lbs

475 lb. Squat PR

Today we tested to see where he was at to get him prepared for the 2009 RAW United Nationals on Dec. 5th. So far so good.

Goals for this meet are:
Squat 480 lbs
Bench 300 lbs
Deadlift 515 lbs
Total 1295 lbs

That's a bad kid. If I'm not mistaken, he's put over 100lbs on his squat in the last year. Is he still just training on the weekends?

Yes he has. He's really worked hard this year and it's paying off for him. For the most part he only trains Fri., Sat. & Sun. Once in a while he'll come in after school 1-2 days to do some accessory work but the bulk of his training is only 3 days per week.

That kid is a super hero. Maybe if he starts doing some strongman he can close the COC #3 before he's 18 to beat out Jesse Marunde (Rest in Peace) as the youngest to close it. Just throwing that out there.
