Personally, I think running a mile in 7 minutes or less for just about any sized person is pretty darn good.

Thanks...If I could maintain it for three miles I would be happy. One mile in isolation isn't so great to me. I did run 3mi cross-country in about 26min. This was for the swat test and I had to get under 27min to max out points. So, once the mileage increases, my abilities drop way off. I'm no longer a cop though...if only I had crossfit at the time...

Right now, I'm 6'00" and 204lbs.

I'm 230lbs now and do about 7:00 now, so long as it's only one mile.
Best was 5:35 at about 215lbs....and 22 years old!:crybaby0:...and on a treadnmill. Ugh.

I'm hovering around 190 and my PR mile is 5:38...

But for anyone around this weight anythign around 7 min is fast enough to put most people in their place. And it's pretty cool being a big guy passing people haha

Best I ever did was 6:40. Usually I'm around 7:00 to 7:30, though. I'm 6'2", 225, 36 yo.

currently 7:14 mile, 23:55 5k.

...and 1:19.51 in the Bay to Breakers 7.46 mile
goof run in San Francisco last May.

currently 6:35 mile, best time was 5;05, 20yrs old during soccer camp, 220lbs
The last time I ran hard on a treadmill it shut itself off mid stride.

I can run a single mile in just under 6 minutes. If I run longer, it’s a 6 min 20 sec pace. And this is at an elevation of a mile high. At sea level, and 30 lbs lighter, I was able to sustain a 5 min pace for up to 6 miles.

BW 195lbs Ht 5'9" 22yrs.

Wow!!!! 6 minutes is awesome. I couldn't do that when I was in highschool and 60 pounds lighter. I'm 260 now, and my PR is 9 minutes. I can jog on a treadmill at a 6.0 clip for 9 minutes which puts me right at a mile. I would like to eventually get to where I can do less than 8 minute miles. 7 minutes is a pipe dream. 8 minutes is the ultimate goal. the problem I have is that I can only jog at this clip about every third day. If I do it more often than that, my knees, ankles, etc. get sore. One step at a time. 250 here I come!!!
